.50-70 Gov’t. Projectiles

$32.00

Sold by 36ct boxes, these bullets are cast on a Lee .515-450 mold, part number 90255, in soft alloy for reloading .50-70 Government cartridges.

.50-70 Government was developed and adopted in 1866, for use in that model year’s version of Springfield rifle as a replacement to the even shorter-lived .58 rimfire cartridge. The .50-70 served from 1866 until its replacement with .45-70 in 1873.

The original loading was a 450gr bullet over 70gr of rifle grain black powder, however with modern brass cartridge cases the case volume may differ due to thicker case walls.

Shipping is included.
